Amber Graeber, Ph.D

Amber Graeber is an Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She has served as a K-12 Social Studies Curriculum Coordinator, an Advanced Placement Coordinator, an instructional coach, and a social studies teacher.


Dr. Graeber continues to teach high school social studies and has used project-based learning in her classroom since 2008. She believes ALL students deserve an opportunity to learn in a PBL classroom. Dr. Graeber has expertise in curriculum and instruction, assessment, social justice leadership, project-based learning, and leading change. She earned her Ph.D. from Iowa State University in educational leadership in 2022.


She lives in Des Moines, Iowa with her family and enjoys reading, traveling, and watching her three boys play any and all sports.
