About
I grew up outside of Rochester, NY, attended the State University of NY at Potsdam, and received a Masters of Science from Syracuse University. For over 30 years, I taught English grades 7-12 and spent a semester as an adjunct professor in Southern NH. My husband, John and I live in the Syracuse, NY area, where we have raised three incredible young men. Jake and his wife , Haley, live in the Albany, NY area. Braydon is a recent graduate from Marist University. Jared lives in his own apartment about a mile away from us.
I am a teacher trainer consultant for the Onondaga-Cortland-Madison BOCES in the Syracuse, NY area. I am a licensed training for the International Institute for Restorative Practices as well as a member of the PBLWorks National Faculty. I travel around the country facilitating teachers and administrators in Project Based Learning for students of all ages and levels. I have presented at the PBLWorks International conference, PBLWorld, for the past 4 years.
